Christian Nemescu's "Dreams of California", 2007 - one of the few films that managed to make this good director (died in a car accident 27-year-old). The case takes place at a small railway station in Romania during the Kosovo conflict, where a train of American troops suddenly arrives carrying a radar station to the conflict zone. But as they say, the wrong ones were attacked. Living usually by thefts from passing trains, the station chief suddenly faces almost the fulfillment of his dreams when his mother told him that the Americans would come and everything would be fine. He waited his whole life, and here they are. But then begins the unpredictable for the Americans, but quite understandable to us. I think it's worth a look. The film is very satirical and quite relevant today.
